All trips will be led in English with a bilingual guide, but many people you meet along the way will only speak Spanish. We will teach you key phrases in Spanish at the beginning of your trip, but it may be useful to use a translator like Google Translate. It’s not a problem if you don’t speak Spanish as long as you are respectful and make an effort to communicate in other ways. It’s all part of the experience!

What are homestays?
Participants of the Rainforest Research Expedition and the Reserve Hopping Expedition have the opportunity to live in homestays with local families.
