Our Story

How it All Began

Directors Dan and Monica have both always been in awe of the complexity of the natural world. With a shared goal of devoting their lives to environmental science and community-based conservation, they searched for opportunities to make this dream into a reality.

Having both graduated from York University in Toronto, Canada, their journey led them back to their alma mater and York's Las Nubes Biological Reserve in Costa Rica. The natural beauty of the reserve and the generosity of the local community inspired Monica and Dan to dedicate themselves to this special place. From there, Mondo Eco-Expeditions and its first expedition - the Las Nubes Expedition - were born.

Join Dan and Monica, and the whole Mondo family, for an unforgettable experience that fuels your passion for nature and conservation.
