Our Story

How it All Began

Directors Dan and Monica have long been captivated by the intricate beauty of the natural world. With a shared enthusiasm for environmental science and community-based conservation, they set out to turn their passion into a lifelong purpose.

Both graduates of York University in Toronto, Canada, their path eventually led them back to their alma mater’s Las Nubes Biological Reserve in Costa Rica. The reserve’s stunning landscapes and the warmth of the local community inspired them to dedicate their work and lives to this remarkable place. Out of this commitment, Mondo Eco-Expeditions was created.

Now, Dan, Monica, and the entire Mondo family invite you to join them on a transformative journey - one that deepens your connection to nature and fuels your dedication to conservation.
